Personal project Illustration done in Procreate. I wanted to create a highly detailed illustration based on the Detroit Pistons. The logo features 3 different layers of details and line work with notable franchise icons dispersed throughout. These include: homages to the Pistons flaming horse logo, the Detroit area code of 313, 5 different important Pistons players, their mascot, their 3 championship banners, the Larry O’Brien trophy, the Bad Boys Pistons logo, Rip Hamilton’s iconic face mask, and a 1957 Ford Mustang (1957 being the year that the Fort Wayne Pistons moved to Detroit). This piece required a lot of dedication to detail and research as it is the most intensive piece I have ever completed and I’m thrilled with how it turned out.
